Police search for gunman who killed 18-year-old in McKeesport

MCKEESPORT, Pa. — Police are on a manhunt for the shooter who killed an 18-year-old boy late Friday afternoon in McKeesport.

McKeesport police said they were called just before 4 p.m. to a house in the 1400 block of Evans Avenue, where they found the teenage victim lying in a pool of blood.

Neighbors said they heard at least two gunshots and then police sirens.

Investigators said they have been searching for the gunman since then, to no avail. They also said they collected evidence and went door to door to speak with neighbors.

According to several people who live in the area, this kind of violence is not new in this area. One man who does not live far from the crime scene said some days he feels like a prisoner in his own home.

Police have not released the name of the victim and continue to search for a suspect and motive.
