CASTLE SHANNON. Pa. - Castle Shannon police said they've found a 59-year-old woman from the area who was missing for a few days.
Investigators said Joan Lynn Meissonier was reported missing on Tuesday after she left her home around 2 p.m.
“I saw her on New Year’s Day morning. I gave her her meds and she was dressed. My son was coming to go to the doctor with her,” Meissonier’s ex-husband Albert Meissonier, said. “He said, ‘She’s not here.’ Then I said, ‘Wait a minute. She needs coffee and milk. Maybe she went to Shop N Save.’”
Officers said Meissonier told her family that she wanted to, "live on the streets." Police said she requires medications and she does not have them with her.
Meissonier was located in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh Thursday afternoon by an acquaintance, who notified a family member.
