BUTLER, Pa. - A missing 2-year-old boy was found safe in Butler Friday.
Crews focused their search in the area of Alameda Park.
Officials later found the boy walking on Blair Drive off Mercer Road.
He was missing for about an hour, and officials said he walked about a mile away from his parents.
“Our report was that they were on a walking trail and that the boy got out ahead of her and took off running. She was unable to catch him,” said Lt. Matthew Pearson of Butler Township police.
The emotional reunion between the boy and mother was captured by Chopper 11 (video above).
