NEW CASTLE, Pa. - Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a New Castle bank late Tuesday morning.
According to police, a man entered the First Merit Bank on Wilmington Road in Neshannock Township just before noon and handed a teller a note saying he had a gun and demanding money.
The teller gave the robber an undetermined amount of money and he fled the scene on foot. Investigators said the bank’s surveillance cameras captured several images of the man as he left.
The robber is described as a white male, standing about 6 feet 2 inches tall. Police said they believe he’s in his 20s and thin-to-medium build. He was wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, boots and a blue stocking cap.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact police.
