PITTSBURGH - Police are asking for help in determining what caused a man to fall or jump to his death on the Montour Trail last week.
Investigators said the man was found dead on the trail below the Summit Park Drive overpass on Friday.
Police said they are not identifying the man, but they did say he was a 43-year-old white man with dark hair and a slender build. Officers said he was dressed in a black Steelers T-shirt over a purple button-down shirt with black jeans.
Detectives said the incident happened between 9:20 a.m. and 9:54 a.m.
Anyone who was traveling on Summit Park Drive or on the Montour Trail around that time and saw the man is asked to call Allegheny County police at 412-473-1300.
