Police seek motorist in drive-by feud shooting in Big Beaver

BIG BEAVER, Pa. — State police say they're searching for a man who reportedly fired shots at a passing motorist who claims the shooting was the result of an ongoing feud between the two western Pennsylvania men.

Troopers from the Beaver barracks say the incident happened about 6:30 a.m. Saturday on Route 18 in Big Beaver borough.

Police say they have only a nickname for the suspect who reportedly drove up alongside the victim and fired a gun. Police say the shots didn't hit the intended victim or his car.

But police say in a news release that the victim "believes this is in response to an ongoing dispute between him and the possible suspect."

Police say they're treating the incident as an attempted homicide.
