Police to step up patrols during Super Bowl

PITTSBURGH — As the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks battle for the title of Super Bowl champion Sunday night in New Jersey, local police will be cracking down on drunk driving.

Sobriety checkpoints will be set up throughout Pittsburgh from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. to make travel as safe as possible for people heading home from Super Bowl parties. Roving DUI patrols will also be conducted.

Kickoff for Super Bowl XLVIII is at 6:30 p.m.
