Man arrested in fatal Fayette Co. bar stabbing

GEORGES TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a Fayette County bar fight and stabbing.

Pennsylvania State Police in Uniontown said Darius Lee Samuel stabbed four people, killing one, after getting into a fight with a man at the Goal Post Lounge in Georges Township early Saturday morning.

According to the criminal complaint, the fight escalated and Samuel, 22, stabbed three men and one woman.

Rashaunda Fitzgerald, 21, of Uniontown, was stabbed in the chest while trying to stop the fight. She died from her injuries at Uniontown Hospital.

The three men, all in their 20s, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police said one of the men was cut in the stomach and neck, while the other two suffered injuries to their arms.

Samuel left the bar after the altercation. Witness information and surveillance video helped police find him.

Samuel faces charges including criminal homicide and aggravated assault.
