Rain to move out of Pittsburgh for second half of weekend

PITTSBURGH — Scattered rain showers moved through parts of the Pittsburgh area during the day Saturday, but the weather will dry up for the second half of the weekend.

Rain on Saturday was spotty, with many locations -- particularly north of the city -- seeing little to no precipitation.

Saturday's high reached 69, but temperatures will cool down to around 36 overnight. Sunday's temperatures will rebound to about 63.

Dry weather and mostly sunny skies are expected Sunday, before the arrival of more widespread rain Monday. Showers remain in the forecast through Thursday.

High temperatures throughout next week will stay in the 60s.
