Rash of home burglaries has Baldwin residents on edge

BALDWIN, Pa. — Residents in a South Hills neighborhood have been on edge after a recent rash of home burglaries.

Police are warning Baldwin residents in the area of Blossom Drive and nearby streets to keep their doors and windows locked after several homes in the area have been burglarized recently.

Investigators haven’t said how many homes were broken into or how the burglars got in, but they want people to be aware.

“I’ll keep my doors closed because this doesn’t normally happen around here,” Baldwin residents Frank Sabalauskas said.

Sabalauskas said he thinks because of the snow on the ground, footprints were most likely left behind during recent burglaries, and he hopes that will help police.

“If they got a footprint, they will probably be able to catch them,” Sabalauskas said.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to contact police.
