PITTSBURGH - Renovations to the South Park Fairgrounds will begin Monday, the Allegheny County Department of Public Works announced.
The $885,000 project will include drainage improvements and the construction of new ball fields, portable bleachers, benches and new fencing. Reconstruction of the track will also take place.
While renovations are made, the fairgrounds will be closed and some areas will be restricted to park patrons.
The work is scheduled to be completed by mid-November.
