Authorities are looking for a man accused of stealing almost $200 from a woman after she withdrew the money from a downtown ATM machine Monday afternoon.

The victim told detectives that she was walking on Forbes Avenue toward Smithfield Street when a man approached her and began to ask her several questions.

The victim said she then walked into the CVS on Smithfield Street and withdrew $180 from the Huntington Bank ATM.

She said she then left the store, and as she was counting her money, the same man grabbed the money out of her hands and ran toward Fifth Avenue.

Police said the woman chased the suspect for a brief time before losing sight of him.

Investigators said the suspect is described as a black male about 25-45 years old. He was about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed about 185 pounds. He was clean-shaven and wore a black skull cap, a black bubble-coat and black pants.
