JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. - A school bus carrying three students crashed into a house Friday afternoon in Jefferson County.
According to police, the bus was carrying three elementary-age students from Punxsutawney School District when it crashed into a home on Main Street.
The students, whose names have not been released, were taken to an area hospital to be evaluated. Their conditions are unknown.
The bus driver and a school aide are also being taken to a hospital to be evaluated. Their injuries are not described as major, officials said.
Drivers are urged to avoid Route 119 in the area of Big Run until emergency crews clear the scene and finish their investigation.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and authorities said it was not weather-related.
