LAWRENCE COUNTY, Pa. - A Scott Township Volunteer Fire Department crew went to the scene of a crash Tuesday, only to find one of their own had been killed.
Daniel Gallatin, a Scott Township volunteer firefighter, was killed when his motorcycle was hit from behind by an SUV on Route 956 near Harlansburg.
According to investigators, Gallatin was turning into his daughter’s driveway when the crash occurred. He was thrown from the bike and died at the scene.
State police are reconstructing the accident.
