Seton Hill cancels lacrosse season after fatal crash

GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Seton Hill University has canceled the rest of the women's lacrosse season in the wake of last month's bus crash that killed the team's pregnant coach.

The university made the announcement Friday. A statement on the university's website said the decision was made out of "concern for the physical health and emotional well-being of our student-athletes."

The bus was carrying 23 players and coaches when it crashed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on the way to a game at Millersville University. The March 16 accident killed 30-year-old coach Kristina Quigley, her unborn child and the bus driver, 61-year-old Johnstown resident Anthony Guaetta.

The team had five games remaining on its schedule.
