Several charges dropped against man accused of making threats at local nursing home

BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — Most of the charges against a man accused of walking into a Beaver County nursing home and making threats have been dropped.

The Beaver County Sheriff's Department said Larry Hicks brought a loaded gun into the Friendship Ridge Nursing Home earlier this month and made threats.

Employees said they knew Hicks because his mother is a resident at the home.

Charges of terroristic threats and harassment have been dropped. Officials said Hicks still faces a firearms charge.

There is no word on why the other charges were dropped.
