Sewer line clog at PNC Park causes problems in outfield

PITTSBURGH — A sewer line clog at PNC Park caused problems Friday afternoon.

In order to do a pressurized water treatment to unclog the line, crews had to get closer to the pipes. Workers dug through the outfield ground to fix the problem.

The clog was fixed around 2 p.m. Friday and the field is being repaired.

The Pirates are out of town this weekend and don't return home until Monday. Team officials said the field will be ready for Monday.
