Sex offender arrested after stalking girl outside Ellwood City's Lincoln High School

ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. — A man was arrested Friday in Ellwood City after a teenage girl reported that he was stalking her.

Police said James Woolheather followed a 15-year-old girl twice outside of Lincoln High School in Ellwood City.

The girl told police that he rolled down his window and made crude comments.

After Woolheather sped away, police said she wrote down his license plate number and called them.

“I am very proud of my daughter to have the courage to do what she did…very proud of her,” said Barbara Garcia, the victim’s mother.

Officers said Woolheater was a lifelong sex offender who had never registered as one.

Woolheater is currently in the Lawrence County jail on bond.
