CARRICK, Pa. - A sexual assault suspect is accused of punching a police officer in the face Friday night in Carrick as authorities tried to arrest him, police said.
According to police, the man was spotted along Brownsville Road about 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Authorities said the man, whose name has not been released, resisted arrest and punched an officer in the nose before being arrested.
The officer’s condition has not been released.
Officials said police plan to add additional charges on top of the sexual assault ones he already faced.
