This weekend, drivers traveling on Parkway East will find the outbound lanes of the Squirrel Hill Tunnel closed.
According to Channel 11’s Trisha Pittman, the outbound lanes closed at 10 p.m. on Friday and will remain closed until 6 a.m. on Monday.
Pittman said the detour around the closing is relatively lengthy, taking drivers through the Squirrel Hill-Homestead interchange, and could take up to an hour to navigate during peak travel times.
Also, throughout this weekend, Route 28 southbound will be restricted to one lane from the 40th Street Bridge and the area of East Ohio Street.
