State Of The Art Wendy's Unveiled In White Oak

Two Columbus, Ohio restaurants were remodeled using the same design in August.

Wendy’s executives and local leaders gathered in White Oak on Wednesday for the grand reopening of a Wendy’s unlike any others.

Officials are calling it the future of the fast food chain and unlike one the customer has ever seen.

The Wendy’s is one of only three in the country that has a fireplace inside.

The new store also displays the produce used in its meals to ensure its freshness.

The fountain drink machine allows the customer to select from more than 125 flavors of soda.

White Oak Mayor Ina Marton was among those who got a sneak peek today and said the store is beneficial to the community.

“At first they were really disappointed because they thought Wendy's was closing down for good,” Marton said. “But whenever they found out we were remodeling and having a state of the art Wendy's in White Oak, they couldn't wait for it to open. They're so excited about it.”

White Oak was chosen as a test market for the state of the art Wendy’s store that’s one of only four in the country.

There is no word on when and if these new Wendy’s will go up permanently.
