Stolen wiener dog statue found at South Side party

PITTSBURGH — A 250-pound concrete statue of a wiener dog has been returned to uptown Pittsburgh.

Residents told Channel 11 News that the statue was taken from the front of Forbes Auto Body Shop last week.

The artist who created the statue, James Simon, said people spotted the dog at a party on the South Side.

“They put it in their car and brought it back to us. That’s the return of the wiener dog,” Simon said.

The statue has been outside the auto body shop for about four years.
