Superheroes give capes to children at Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — Superheroes, including Batman, Superman and Spider-Man, gave capes to local children battling life-threatening diseases and disabilities at the Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh Wednesday night.

The capes were given to the young patients to help them find their courage and strength.

The children were also given treats and prizes at the special event.

The Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh, which is connected to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, provides temporary housing to families who must travel to the Pittsburgh area to get life-saving medical care for their children.
