Police looking for man who robbed Marshall Twp. gas station at gunpoint

MARSHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Marshall Township gas station Tuesday morning at gunpoint.

Authorities said the suspect was armed with a silver handgun when he robbed the BP station on VIP Drive just off the Wexford Interstate 279 exit just before 11 a.m. Tuesday.

“He just walked up and asked (the clerk) to shush and just reach into the drawer and hand over the money,” Northern Regional Police Detective Jeff Hoffman said. “When she sort of looked at him, he showed the firearm he had in his right pocket. She knew he meant business and complied.”

According to police, the suspect ran across the street with an undetermined amount of cash, got in a waiting getaway car and took off onto Route 910.

Police have been searching the robber and the car, but have not found either.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact police.
