Bomb squad finds deodorant in 'suspicious' Brookline package

BROOKLINE, Pa. — A suspicious package found in Brookline on Friday morning turned out to be a cooler with Old Spice deodorant in it.

Emergency officials said someone called 911 after finding the cooler around 7:45 a.m. on Liberty Avenue.

"The person who called in did right," said Det. Carlos Schrader, of the Pittsburgh Bomb Squad. "Fortunately it was Old Spice deodorant inside the cooler. No bomb this time."

Traffic was detoured around the area, causing more than a few headaches.

"There were 10 different ways to get to my house and I couldn't get to any of them," said driver Scott Gray.

The scene has since been cleared.
