McKEESPORT, Pa. - Authorities are investigating after a teenager was shot while sitting outside Tuesday afternoon in McKeesport.
According to police, the shooting was reported around 2:30 p.m. on Soles Street.
A witness told Channel 11’s Courtney Brennan they were mowing the grass at a nearby church, heard at least four shots and ran to find 19-year-old Robert Smarr with a gunshot wound in the neck area.
Smarr’s grandmother told Brennan he was airlifted to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition.
Investigators said Smarr was sitting on the front porch of a home with friends at the time of the shooting.
