EAST LIBERTY, Pa. - A 13-year-old boy is in critical condition after getting hit by a car Friday afternoon in Highland Park.
Witnesses told Channel 11’s Julie Fine that the boy got off of the school bus and was walking with his friends when he ran out into traffic and was hit by a car along North Negley Avenue about 3:30 p.m.
“I ran over to see if I could be of any assistance, but he got hit pretty badly,” witness Tracy Dawkins said.
The boy, whose name and condition have not been released, was rushed to UPMC Children’s Hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.
