Teen killed inside Munhall home; Investigation underway

MUNHALL, Pa. — Authorities have identified a 17-year-old boy who was shot and killed late Monday night in Munhall.

Police told Channel 11's Dave Bondy that Trijuan Williams was hit when at least one, and possibly two, gunmen fired through a window of his Martha Street home.

“We believe he was in the home when the shooting occurred. Perpetrators were outside the home, shooting in,” said Allegheny Count Police Lt. Andrew Schurman.

Two people were detained by police, but it’s unclear if they are witnesses or suspects.

Schurman told Channel 11 News that investigators are looking into the possibility that the shooting could be connected to another recent shooting.

Family and friends said Williams, also known as Trizzy, moved to Munhall about seven years ago from Erie.

“He was a really funny guy. He wasn’t known for beef, he was just a real funny guy. He was always making everyone smile,” friend Ron Graham said.

Graham also said Williams was the kind of guy who wouldn’t bother you.

“He really wasn’t the one to be shooting guns at people and claiming beef. He was just a cool, laid back, ‘I’m trying to get my money’ type of guy,” Graham said.
