Teen shot while riding bike in Perry South neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — An 18-year-old was taken to Allegheny General Hospital following a shooting in Pittsburgh's Perry South neighborhood.

The shooting happened about 11 a.m. on Strauss Street.

Public Information Officer Sonya Toler said the teenager, who has not been identified, was riding his bike when he was shot in the arm. He was alert and talking when he was taken to the hospital, she said.
