PITTSBURGH - Severe Weather Team 11 meteorologist Scott Harbaugh said the showers and thunderstorms are expected to come to an end across the Pittsburgh-area from north to south late Tuesday afternoon.
The best chance for severe storms will be in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties through the evening rush, Harbaugh said.
A cold front dropping through the area will push the storms out of the region by late afternoon or early evening. Behind the front, much less humid air will pour into the area.
Harbaugh expects Wednesday will be another warm day with plenty of sunshine, but humidity will be very low.
He added that more showers and storms will move into the area Thursday.
