Crews work to clean up train derailment in McKeesport

McKEESPORT, Pa. — Crews are working Monday to clear a train derailment in McKeesport.

The derailment happened Saturday night on the Jerome Street Bridge over the Youghiogheny River.

Officials said the CSX trail was carrying steel when it jumped the track, derailing 12 cars. None of the cars were carrying hazardous materials and no injuries were reported.

Restrictions remain in place near and under the bridge. An investigation into how the cars derailed continues.
