Trial wrapping up in case of man accused in fatal shooting outside Homestead bar

HOMESTEAD, Pa. — Surveillance video from outside a Homestead Bar where a man was killed was shown to a jury deciding the fate of the man accused of pulling the trigger.

Closing arguments in the case against Wilbert Johnson will take place Wednesday.

Police said Johnson had angry words with ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend inside the Ragtime Saloon, and the two were asked to leave.

Police said an innocent bystander, Qaeed Braxton, 36, was shot and killed outside.  Police said Johnson claimed he fired a shot after he heard a group of men, including the new boyfriend, threatening to kill him.  The new boyfriend, not identified, escaped without injury, police said.
