Victim says armed men tortured, robbed him inside home while kids slept upstairs

DUQUESNE, Pa. — Authorities are investigating after a man claims he was brutally tortured and robbed inside his Duquesne home over the weekend while his children were sleeping.

The victim told Channel 11's Joe Holden that two masked men armed with assault rifles confronted him at his home around 3 a.m. Saturday. The victim said he was tied up and tortured.

“Next thing I knew, I was down on the ground getting tied up with duct tape. I was escorted down to the basement. I thought it was over from there,” he said.

The victim, a single father of four, said he was repeatedly burned with a knife and a cigarette.

“No that’s probably a knife and I got some other burns on my leg and everything,” he said.

The victim told investigators that the men made off with his rent money and some electronics. What makes the alleged incident worse is the victim said his children were sleeping at the time.

“Actually, my son got the duct tape and got me untied,” he said.

So far, no arrests have been made. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police.
