ROCHESTER, Pa. - Authorities in Rochester have taken a wanted fugitive into custody following a chase Friday afternoon on Route 65.
Channel 11’s Amy Marcinkiewicz reported that the chase went through Freedom, Conway and Rochester, and ended in and around a Co Go’s gas station.
Investigators said the driver, later identified as Arthur Brown, jumped from his car and ran into a nearby wooded area.
Officials were searching for Brown for several hours, until investigators said a tip from a Channel 11 News viewer led them to Brown.
He was taken into custody around 3 p.m.
Brown, investigators said, is wanted for violating parole, armed robbery and escape. Officials said he’s one of Pennsylvania’s 10 most wanted parole violators.
