Warrant issued for man, 23, accused of burglarizing Penn Twp. home

PENN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a 23-year-old man accused of burglarizing a Penn Township home Friday afternoon.

According to Penn Township police Chief John Otto, officers were dispatched to a home in the area of Pine Hollow Road around 3 p.m. Friday.

Otto said a resident of the home told police that they woke up and observed a man going through a jewelry box inside the home.

The burglar fled the residence on foot while the person called 911, Otto said.

Through investigation, the suspect has been identified as Michael Lapaglia, Otto said.

According to police, Lapaglia is described as a male standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Otto said charges of burglary, theft, criminal trespass and other related offenses have been filed.
