West Deer man sentenced for concealing newborn son's death

WEST DEER, Pa. — A West Deer man received his sentence Wednesday for concealing the death of his newborn son.

Authorities said James Victor Jr. died last August from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Officials said the boy's parents concealed the baby's death for two days because they were afraid they would be blamed for it.

Since then, the boy's father, James Victor, spent five months in jail. A judge sentenced him to time served plus one year probation.

The boy's mother, Nicole Dull, remains in jail.
