WESTMORELAND, Pa. - Westmoreland County and state officials came to an agreement on using a grant to put a barricade around the former Monsour Medical Center on Saturday.
According to Channel 11’s news exchange partners at TribLIVE, the city of Jeannette will use a $65,000 grant to barricade the site. The money was originally for a recreation center that was never built, and the state wanted Jeannette to pay the grant money back.
City officials said they are happy to clean up the eyesore.
