Westmoreland County grandparents accused of making meth with grandchild present

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — A couple in Westmoreland County is behind bars after police said they were making drugs with their grandson in the home.

Robert Cass and Lisa Kirchartz are accused of making methamphetamine in their Bell Township home. Investigators said the couple bought large amounts of cold and allergy medication to make the drug.

Police said the pair sometimes cared for their grandson, while making the meth.
