INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. - A local woman was killed Wednesday when she was struck by a car in Armstrong Township, officials said.
Coroner Mike Baker said 45-year-old Michelle Hensley was struck by a sport utility vehicle in the westbound lane of Route 422 in Shelocta Borough.
Investigators said Hensley was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Baker said Hensley died as result of blunt force trauma.
Officials said the driver of the SUV stopped and called 911 immediately after accident. State police continue to investigate.
