Woman working to help girl who sent ‘Letter to God'

An Arizona woman is doing everything in her power to help a young girl after finding a heartfelt letter the girl sent to God.

Carol Marshall spotted something strange hanging from a tree in her backyard.

It turns out, it was a handwritten letter to God from a young girl named Sofia who used a balloon to send her message into the sky.

“Her goal was definitely for the balloon to get to heaven and for God to read it,” Marshall said.

The letter specifically talked about helping Sofia’s mom, who’d doing her best to support the family.

“Dear God, I’m thankful to you because you have given me life,” the letter said. “I ask you to help our family because we are going through tough times.”

Marshall said she’s hoping by sharing the letter, she can find and help the girl.

Marshall believes Sofia lives somewhere near her and hopes someone will come forward and answer her prayers.
