WOW: Skeleton slider goes airborne, hits ice, still finishes

SOCHI, Russia — Ireland's Sean Greenwood lost control on his second run in the men's skeleton competition.

Greenwood attempted to regain control as he rounded a turn but ended up high on the wall, eventually finding himself airborne.

While Greenwood never actually let go of his sled, he landed on his side, slid down the track and momentarily was in direct contact with the ice.

Greenwood eventually righted his sled and finished the run, seemingly unhurt.

Had he not, the Irishman would have been disqualified from the event.
