Man, 19, shot in neck during home invasion in Baldwin

BALDWIN BOROUGH, Pa. — One person was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound Tuesday night after a home invasion in Baldwin Borough, Allegheny County’s spokeswoman said.

County spokeswoman Amie Downs told Channel 11 News that 911 received a call around 9 p.m. from someone reporting a home invasion in the 3000 block of Harmening Avenue.

Police said a 19-year-old was found at the scene, suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he remained Wednesday.

Authorities said two masked men entered a home on Harmening Avenue, fought with the victim and then shot him.

Investigators said they don’t yet know the relationship between the two masked men and the victim. Nothing was taken from the house, and the home invaders were able to flee the scene, police said.

The investigation is continuing.
