Man accused of sexually assaulting babysitter turns himself in

PITTSBURGH — A man accused of raping a woman over a 10-year period turned himself in to police Thursday morning.

Cedric March Jones Jr., 34, is charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and corruption of minors.

A woman told police that Jones, of Munhall, sexually assaulted her several times starting with when she was a young teenager. The woman said she used to babysit for the Jones family.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by Channel 11 News, the woman said the assaults began when she was 13 or 14 years old and continued until she was 24 years old.

The criminal complaint said the assaults happened in several locations including Stowe Township, McKees Rocks, Pittsburgh and near the Settlers Cabin Wave Pool.
