Man believed to be jitney driver shot multiple times in North Braddock

NORTH BRADDOCK, Pa. — A man was critically wounded Saturday morning when he was shot multiple times in North Braddock, police said.

The shooting was reported just before 8 a.m. in the 1300 block of Dunbar Avenue, near Hope Street.

Police said the 56-year-old man is believed to be a jitney driver and he might have been being robbed at the time of the shooting. He was taken to a hospital, where he was last listed in critical condition.

It appeared that the man was shot in his vehicle, police said. When Channel 11 arrived at the scene, police tape surrounded an SUV as police conducted an investigation.

Two black men were seen fleeing the area, police said.
