Man charged with entering home, stealing and burning underwear

STRABANE — A Washington County man is facing charges for allegedly getting into his girlfriend’s home without permission, stealing her underwear and burning it.

Police said Anthony Frannell entered the home on View Avenue in Strabane through an unlocked door while the victim was not home. He did not have permission to be there; in fact, police said, the locks were recently changed to keep Frannell out.

Once inside, police said, he went into her bedroom and took 20 Victoria’s Secret bras and 100 pairs of panties. Frannell then allegedly set them on fire in the victim’s backyard, destroying them. Police said the items were valued at $1,700.

He’s charged with burglary, trespassing and criminal mischief.
