Man controls car after hitting bear

BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. — Four people were traveling south bound on Interstate 79 near Muddy Creek Township shortly after 10 p.m. Friday when their car struck a bear.

According to the driver of the car, he was driving around 70 miles per hour when he hit the bear.

Upon impact, the airbags in the car were deployed, but the driver was able to maintain control of the car and pull off onto the shoulder of the interstate.

No one was injured in the accident, but the bear died.
