PITTSBURGH — Police are looking for a man who sped off during a traffic stop on Friday.

According to officials, the police officer conducting the stop believed he saw a suspect driving a black Pontiac Bonneville near Harriet Street around 9 p.m. and began trying to pull the car over.

During the attempt to stop the vehicle, it sped off. Officers then began pursuing the vehicle through various streets in East Liberty and into Shadyside.

The driver of the vehicle, a male, fled from the car near the intersection of Canterbury Lane and Morewood Avenue.
