The victim, identified as 38-year-old Brian Wilbert, of Pittsburgh, was flown to Allegheny General Hospital, where he died early Thursday morning.

Investigators said a gun and a knife were found at the scene, in front of the home of Wilbert’s ex-girlfriend. They are looking into a dispute that happened before the shooting, as well as how the ex-girlfriend’s father might be connected to the incident.

Police questioned several people early Thursday. No arrests were confirmed, but police said they have a person of interest.
