Man robs Bethel Park Walgreens, gets away with several painkillers

BETHEL PARK, Pa. — A Walgreens in Bethel Park closed early Sunday evening after a man robbed the pharmacy of several painkillers.

Officials said a man wearing a dark zip-up hoodie and a Yankees hat wen to the pharmacy counter at about 8 p.m. and sat down, before approaching the counter and handing the pharmacist a note.

According to police, the note told the pharmacist it was a robbery and demanded painkillers.

The note also said, “Make me look like a regular customer and don't make me jump the counter."

No weapon was shown.
