Man shot above both knees after argument in Spring Hill

PITTSBURGH — A man was shot above both of his knees after an argument early Sunday morning in Pittsburgh’s Spring Hill neighborhood, police said.

Officers were dispatched about 5 a.m. to the 1100 block of Buente Street, where the 35-year-old victim was found in an apartment, police said. He had been shot two times, once above each knee.

Investigators said the man is believed to have been shot after getting into an argument with a known man, who fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in serious condition. He was last listed in stable condition.

The Group Violence Intervention Unit is investigating.
